Asa and Stephanie met on an island outside of Miami at Love Burn, the regional Burning Man event in Florida. They were brought together by their dreams (and a lot of synchronistic events), and their first conversation took place on top of an owl art car while fireworks filled the sky. They both soon realized they were working toward the same reality, and between Asa’s chutzpah, Stephanie’s mojo, and both of their whimsy, they make a magical team and are currently working on their greatest project yet, a baby girl due in August 2025.

Asa Jones was born on November 17th, 1984 in Brooklyn, NY. He has been making art his entire life and it has taken him around the world and across the country. Traveling with the “Magic Beans Circus”, he left Brooklyn at the age of 24 and lived in the Oakland area of California for years before settling in New Orleans where he spent the better part of the last decade. Besides creating visual art, Asa is an avid performer, writer, and elementary school art teacher. When shit got weird globally in March of 2020, Asa moved to Moab, Utah to be with Stephanie and their 3 dogs before the pandemic prompted a move back to New Orleans.

Stephanie Creekpaum transitioned to becoming a full time artist after the pandemic helped push her out of a career in child clinical psychology. Throughout her life, she has played around with many forms of art from painting to glass work and was a semi-professional photographer while still practicing psychology, taking wedding, portraiture, and stock photos. Since leaving psychology in 2021, she dove back into creating art, working primarily in stained glass, painting, photography, and drawing/illustrating. She is currently working on writing and illustrating her first children’s book. She was born in the east coast, grew up in the southwest, and has lived many places in between before the pandemic prompted a move from Moab, Utah to New Orleans to continue building a life with her love, Asa. You can find more of her art work as well as recipe development/her work towards building a cookbook at www.stephaniecreekpaum.com

You can find their art at the Frenchmen Art Bazaar next to the Spotted Cat in New Orleans Thursday-Monday 7pm-midnight!
